Djurgården in English! [only English in this thread!]
Re: Djurgården in English! [only English in this thread!]
I too think you should try to sit a few rows up, just to get a better overview. And about the sections.. Yeah, A21 or A10/9 would be my first choice.
Du är med oss överallt, Stefan.
Re: Djurgården in English! [only English in this thread!]
Thanks everybody for the help, you all were very kind. So we've chosen the section 13 A21 rad 8, seats 52 and 53.
That will be good I think. Hope to see a great match with lots of goals and intensity !
Thanks a lot, maybe we'll see each other at the game !
Peace

just a few cheers... come on...
Hey those real Djurgården fans...
I am sure that somebody will "help" me here
Im in Stockholm for a few months and have already been to 3 games and I have loved it and will go to more, but damn Im a hockey fan from the hockey country of Slovakia and I need to cheer and want to cheer, but I still have no frking idea what your cheers are, except "kömpa djurgården(i dont know how to spell it correctly:)" and "mååål" or smth like that... I dont know på svenska so well, 2 months is not enough
If you could share at least those 2,3,4 most-used, the most favourite cheers, thatd be great, so I can actually do some cheering, i dont want to just sit there and be quiet, you know, I want to leave my voice in Hovet
So anybody who wants to share, come on, I love hockey just as much as you do, whereever I am from... we're both hockey countries ...

Hej !
The game I'm going to is getting closer and I wanted to know if we could bring cameras in the arena to take some pics of the game. Please tell me if it is authorized or not.
Tack ! God Jul till alla !

System cameras and video cameras are not allowed, but ordinary compact cameras are allowed.duke skrev:Hej !

Just be discrete and you can take your system camera with you. Keep it in a backpack and don't photograph the hockey, just the audience (you'll shit bricks)

Hej everyone !
Wish you all the best for the new year !
I just came back from my Swedish journey, and really enjoyed it. The game versus Färjestad was really great, despite the loss. Nice plays, nice goals, a lot of intensity and a really good atmosphere. Too bad you lost, but I think the referees wasn't fair to DIF. Refs suck !
Anyway, that was a good experience and I'm glad it didn't end in a riot
Thanks everyone for the help, hope to come back to see more games soon

Would Like to Catch a Game in September; Questions
Hi everyone,
I'm an American who'll be in Europe in late August. When I realized that SEL season will be starting soon and it has completely altered my plans. It's been ages since I've wanted to go to Sweden to catch a hockey match. Although I've been following the SEL, I don't have a favorite team yet (although Frolunda's ok because of our #30
), but I am leaning towards going to Djurgarden game due to Zibanejad and other prospects (and of course Stockholm since I've never been to Sweden).
Since I am a hockey fan before NYR fan, it will great great if I can attend a training session. Hence, is it open to public? If it is not open to public during the season, does Djurgarden hold 'open to public' training camp (like some teams in the NHL)? And when does the training camp start?
At the moment I am leaning heavily towards going to Stockholm for the 17/9 match against MODO. But if trainings aren't open to public, then, I am likely going to go to the preseason match against Luela on 1/9.
Either way, I can't wait!
I appreciate your help guys

Re: Djurgården in English! [only English in this thread!]
Hey!
You know that NYR will be playing an exhibition game versus Frölunda in Gothenburg on the 30th of September, right? But you should of course catch a Djurgården SEL-game instead, much more interesting (I'm just slightly biased...
).
Do yourself a favor and go to the game vs Modo on the 17th of September instead of a preseason one. It will (hopefully) be a much more memorable event.

Re: Djurgården in English! [only English in this thread!]
Thank you for the response.
Yes, I've a very little interest in going to the Frolunda match against the NYR. I can always go to their match as long as I don't move out of NY
When in Europe, go to European games (much more interesting)!
The MODO match, I was heavily leaning towards. But I was hoping that I could catch a training session too. I played hockey up to college (not D-1 though) and I was always curious how practices are conducted overseas. And I must admit, I love the Swedish style. I just thought that maybe during preseason, SEL teams have more lenient rules on public going to trainings as some NHL teams are (sadly, all NYR trainings are closed to public. Though due to connection, I was able to attend a few).
But I've realized that the match against MODO is season opener. Are the tickets difficult to get? And I assume tickets haven't gone sale to public yet?
Thank you again

If you want to know if there are any open training sessions you could always email one of the media people - Jimmy Peterson - jimmy.peterson@difhockey.se and ask him. He's on vacation now but will be back in the beginning of August. (He might answer mails sonner though). I think most of the staff are on vacation at the moment, but we are always online anyway, aren't we?!

I'll be attending the open training session on August 8 and I am looking forward to it!
So, I hope you get the info you need and that you get to watch at least one game while here!
All the best,
Magnus

Re: Djurgården in English! [only English in this thread!]
Shouldn't be that difficult. The start of the hockey season overlaps the end of the football season, and that always keeps the public a little lower than usual. Although 09/10 the opening game was sold out, so just to be sure you should probably buy a ticket as soon as you can.nyrangersfan39 skrev: But I've realized that the match against MODO is season opener. 09/10 we opened against MoDo aswell. You'll probably be more fascinated by the audience than the game of hockey. You can expect something similiar to this if you go to this match. Hopefully you'll enjoy what you see from both Djurgården and Järnkaminerna.
