My hometeam, the Cologne Sharks, are in huge financial trouble because of their playground LANXESS arena. There is no Hovet-like rink at Cologne and it looks like the huge Arena bills are breaking our neck. Be glad that your club had and still has the choice and is not bounded.

I'm here to find some infos, I hope you'll help me.

I'm going to Stockholm for the Christmas holidays, and me and my brother would like to go to a Hockey game. We have found on the schedule the DIF-Färjestad game that takes place on the 30th of december at the Hovet. What I wanted to know is what are the best seats in the arena ?
We have selected an area, which you can see on the pic below (red circle). But I was wondering why they are still free ? Is it too close to the ice to get a nice view ?



Do you think the area circled in green is a better place ?

Also, is this matchup a usually great opposition ?

Any help or infos will be greatly appreciated

On Hovet it´s not like in NHL where you sit just by the rink, on Hovet it is a few meters to the ice. That makes it hard to see if you sit too far down.. If I were you, i would sit on the top of the section instead. You´ll see alot better from there!

And about the green area, there will alot of the away teams supporters sit, and it´s not fun to sit by them

Sit on A9 instead, much closer to the DIF Supporters and from row 5 you can see almost every part of the rink.

It's not big deal if we are surrounded by away team's supporters. We have no preferences for a team, we just come to see a good game
Are the seats behind the benches better places ? I see there are some places left at the fourth row, in A24-A23

Is there a special rivalry between DIF and Färjestad ?

Sitting behind the benches on row four is not a great experience, I think that row 6-7 is the lowest if you want to see the whole rink!

And yes, there is a speciel rivalry! It´s always fun games against Färjestad.

Heaty, no we're leaving on the 31st unfortunately. We're coming from 21st to 31st, and only spending 2 nights in Stockholm, 29th and 30th. The rest will be spent in Mora, Dalarna.

The big reason in my opinion to sit closer to our fans is to really feel the atmosphere. This crowd really knows how to cheer and sing, I can guarantee you that

And about the rivalry.. Well, for me Färjestad and Djurgården has always been the two 'top' teams, probably because the first season I really can relate to is the 00/01, when we won the championship after beating Färjestad in the finals. I had a Färjestad fan in my school, and I remember us eyeballing eachother, both wearing our team scarfs Really great feeling to win and show up to school the day after, wearing my Challe Berglund jersey (:

And of course.. The season after, in which Färjestad brought home the gold instead.

I can't speak for everyone else, but ever since then I've always had a special grudge towards FBK. I think you'll get to enjoy a great match as always between our two teams, and hopefully it'll be sould out with and incredible atmosphere as a result.

If you are in Stockholm january 6 I suggest you go to Djurgården - Timrå game instead. The first game after every new year is always something special.

You need to sit higher up!
Chose a seat somewhere up in the top by the redline that would be perfect, you get the see the game in a magical way! I can guarantee you that!
